A little introduction into my core motivations behind creating a tech blog is something apparent from what you will read here regarding why and how and what will you be able to find across the Joye blog.

How did the blog come to be?

Someone decided to create a Programmer Competency Matrix, which went viral and landed on my device when I found an initiative to specify my skill levels. One of the most surprising points on the list is writing a tech blog. This is how Joye blog came to be, not only for the reason of benefiting Joye’s marketing efforts but also for self-development in terms of increasing competency.

Why is tech and entrepreneurial blogging a positive initiative?

There are a few aspects to the answer, which include:

1. being able to express my knowledge and ideas regarding technical and business information succinctly,
2. improvement of my learning via reinforcement to memory and
3. being able to make a difference in how things are done going forwards by reflecting on the past projects/tasks.
4. By sharing my knowledge, experience, and journey, I can guide and benefit others on theirs in turn giving me purpose that is key to staying motivated to Joye’s grand plan and mission. And last but not least,
5. to inspire and lead by example. Our lives are only short when we think about it and those little moments like reading a blog post can make an impact that can cause a change of mindset across the collective. Helping even just one person can have a snowball effect, when that person helps inspire another and so on. Paraphrasing something I heard once, “One person cannot change the world, but one person can convey a message that can change the world”. Although, I don’t fully agree with the first part of the statement, as creating impactful coding solutions using current trends and top of the field technologies is the main goal here- we can take from this that collaborating and sharing knowledge about those topics can also make a difference.
